We had a lovely family weekend away at Laura and Lee. Some lovely touches to our stay such as bacon and farm fresh eggs, and a lovely bottle of wine. The sheep, ducks and chickens were so cute. I would thoroughly recommend it and it is a lovely experience for young children as well.Posted on Danni TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The moment we arrived we felt relaxed and content, watching the sun set over the distant rolling hills. The farm house was brimming with creature comforts from the fully equipped kitchen to the soft blankets used to warm us on chilly nights. We enjoyed several evenings by the outdoor fireplace, roasting marshmallows and sharing quiet conversations with our children. By day we had plenty of opportunity to unwind … playing some of the lawn and board games, the High Tea Experience on the Mary Valley Rattler Silver Bullet train, and venturing to nearby Rainbow Beach where we could drive along the sand - a truly spectacular experience! Hosts Lee and Laura invited our family to feed the farm animals which also gave us time to chat and hear all about their future plans for the property! The teens enjoyed the ‘lucky duckies’ nibbling lettuce leaves from their hands, and helping the chooks graze on their special seed mix. The serene tranquility of the Hinterland Hideaway Farm Stay was exactly what our family needed to rest and rejuvenate before the hustle and bustle of “life” began again.Posted on Xavier PeñaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a memorable family weekend at the Hinterland Hideaway Farm. Laura and Lee were absolutely amazing and they even organised an animal feeding session for our kids with their ducks, sheep, chucks and guinea pigs. Make sure to order some eggs, they're the real deal. The house is equipped beyond expectations and we loved having dinner by the fire in the outdoor hut. This is a gem of a place and well worth the drive from Brisbane, we'll be backPosted on Peter PidgeonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very welcoming and comfortable house, fantastic view of the surrounds with excellent friendly hosts. One of my favourtite holiday experiences is sitting on the veranda with a bit of cheese and wine every evening with the family. Our son especially enjoyed the animals. The sheep and cows have left a lasting impression. Already planning next year.Posted on Frances EvansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The farm cottage was set on a hill with beautiful views to the setting sun. We quickly felt at home with everything needed for our stay including fresh eggs. Joined the owners Laura and Lee one afternoon for the feeding their farmyard pets and it was such a lovely time that it seemed like we were visiting family. Whilst staying at the farm, it was an easy drive to visit Tin Can Bay to feed the dolphins and then onto Rainbow Beach to explore Cooloola National Park. Also rode the Mary Rattler Steam Train on their evening Christmas run from Gympie to Dagun which was a short drive from the farm. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a tranquil location.Posted on Tineke OrdingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An idyllic farm-stay getaway. We went on bush walks around the property, had a wood-fire bbq and enjoyed the serenity peace and quiet. We will be coming back next time with the tribe to enjoy and explore everything the property has to offer.
